Rich Cornell has been with Aflac for 17 years, serving business executives who make insurance decisions for their companies and their employees. He said he enjoys delivering the value his company provides. But, since 2006, when he began the Fundamentals class at the Coffman Group, his efficiency-and his income-have increased dramatically.
”I became a Coffman Lifetime Mastery client two years ago, and I can safely say my income has increased 80 percent,” Rich said. “Plus I feel more relaxed and efficient. I have more time for the important things, both at work and at home.”
Rich said his increased efficiency results from improving his skills at identifying the best prospects and moving them through the sales process faster. Plus, he does a better job of eliminating marginal prospects faster.
“I'm also more resilient because I'm not tied to any single outcome,” Rich explained. “The rollercoaster effect of sales used to be tough, and it was one of the reasons I started the Coffman Lifetime Mastery program. During my weekly Mastery sessions, the professionals at the Coffman Group helped me, one-to-one, to identify cues and predict outcomes and not get emotionally attached. It's really as much about yourself as about the prospect.”
Rich said the ongoing, face-to-face interaction with sales and marketing people from other industries helps him address current problems and reinforces principles.
“The interaction and feedback are some of the most helpful aspects of the Lifetime Mastery program,” he added.
