“It’s ultimately about what works on the street.”
Name: Joshua Hill
Title/Firm: Managing Partner, Pemberton Whiteman & Hill, LLC
Age: 37
Industry: Legal Executive Placement
Education: B.A., American University; M.A., UMKC
Coffman Certified: Mastery Level
Career goal: To transition from advertising sales into entrepreneurship.
When Josh Hill was first exposed to sales and marketing programs from the Coffman Group, it was through his employer. That initial experience catalyzed a relationship with Coffman that last lasted more than three years.
“Coffman was doing classes at Entercom when I worked there in radio advertising sales,” Josh explained. “I was so impressed. I thought, ‘this is the best sales training I have ever had.’”
“There’s a level of professionalism they help you develop that’s not typical sales training; it’s far more consultative. Plus, there is a real goodness at their core. You want to be around people who are pros and have good character and values and who do business in a way that’s profitable and successful.”
So, when he started his own legal executive placement firm, he signed up for personal coaching and the complete progression of classes Coffman offers, including fundamental, skillS, and mastery classes. Now in his second year as managing partner of Pemberton, Whiteman & Hill, LLC, Josh still meets with his Coffman personal coach regularly.
“Coffman is not a one-trick-pony kind of operation. You get different perspectives every time you go, and they really cut to the issue with their techniques and communication styles.” Josh said Coffman helped him eliminate bad habits and raise his awareness about the time he spends on non-productive activities.
“It’s ultimately about what works on the street,” he concluded.
